Chevening Scholarships
Be a Jamaican citizen or citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for admission to a UK master's programme.
Have at least two years (approximately 2,800 hours) of work experience.
Apply to and receive an unconditional offer from an eligible UK university within the specified timeframe.
Commit to returning to Jamaica for at least two years after completing the scholarship.
Meet any additional eligibility requirements set by Chevening.
The Chevening Scholarship Programme provides fully funded scholarships for outstanding professionals from Jamaica and other eligible countries to pursue a one-year master’s degree at a university in the United Kingdom. Funded by the UK Government, the programme supports individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to contributing to the development of their country. (You can contact the Chevening Scholarship team in Jamaica directly through the British High Commission in Kingston, which manages the local selection process and alumni relations.)

Application Process
Create an online Chevening account, submit an application with eligible UK master’s courses and supporting documents, attend an interview if shortlisted, provide an unconditional university offer if selected, and await final notification and pre-departure instructions.
