Community action agency for New Britain provides community based services for people who are economically disadvantaged to promote self-sufficiency and economic independence. Services include energy assistance, SNAP assistance, youth development, Head Start, daycare and preschool programs. Also operates one-stop career centers offering job training and employment centers at several mid-Connecticut locations. Other programs include Polish Victim Advocacy program, AIDS case management and Wellness Resources Center, a community center for people with AIDS/HIV.
