Local federally designated Community action agency provides services for disadvantaged people and families to promote self-sufficiency and economic independence. Special services and programs include: housing services, SNAP Assistance, Action Early Learning Center, after school activities, energy assistance, food pantry, SNAP diaper program, case management services, job skills training, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Thanksgiving baskets, holiday assistance, eviction prevention and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
