After school program for teens encourages students to participate in after school activities aligned with their developmental needs where they can be with their friends in a productive environment, developing new skills and interests. Program incorporates choice while delivering educational and social benefits that address the concerns of parents and support the efforts of school day staff. Focus of the program is to give youth a safe place and opportunity to grow socially, between 2:30-6pm, where they can do their homework, receive tutoring and mentoring and participate in sports, robotics, art, teamwork activities, and community service. Activity schedule will vary because the youth are involved in planning their program activities. Program held at JFK Middle School.
