Specific community food pantry programs specialize in providing long-term special dietary pantry food to residents aged 60+ living in Hamden areas and downtown neighborhood (Zip code 06510) of the City of New Haven. Food packages are pre-ordered on line every other week for seniors that are evaluated for special dietary requirements or disabilities (limitations) preventing travel to a grocery store.
