Food pantry for all Connecticut residents in need is open M: 12noon-3pm; W: 4:30-7:30pm; F: 8:30am-12noon

Registration:

All applicants are asked to verbally confirm that the following information is true:

• They are residents of the State of Connecticut.

• They qualify according to the income guidelines as set by The Emergency Food Assistance Program, (TEFAP). Income guidelines are 300% of the annual poverty income. To qualify as a one-person household, you would be earning at or less than $45,180. To calculate larger households, add $16,140 per additional person to find the household limit. A table of limits will be shown at the time of registration. Table can also be found at agency website: https://plymouthfoodpantry.org/tefap/

Any applicant who has met these two requirements is eligible to receive TEFAP food and be registered in one of the two programs below:

• Plymouth Non-resident Program, no further requirements

• Plymouth Resident Program, must provide documentation listed below

  • Identification for each member of the household
  • Proof of address for each member of the household 18 or older

Shopping:

Plymouth Non-resident Program: Upon arriving at the Food Pantry, the customer will be presented with a list of foods acquired through the TEFAP program. Customers will choose the foods they would like from this list, and a volunteer will shop for them. List of food will be posted on the Pantry’s website under TEFAP Menu. When there is an abundance of non-TEFAP food, the Pantry is committed to sharing it with the TEFAP customer.

Plymouth Resident Program: Residents will receive food that is offered through the TEFAP program and food purchased through funds raised by the Food Pantry. There are three shopping options for Plymouth residents:

• In-person shopping: customers, with the assistance of a volunteer, select the items they prefer from the shelves of the pantry.

• Curbside Pick Up: A customer may choose the food they would prefer by using the online order form (https://plymouthfoodpantry.org/order-form/), filling out and mailing in/dropping off paper order form, or asking for a standard order (via phone call). A volunteer, doing the best they can to accommodate their request, will then shop for them. Customers will then be scheduled to pick up their order.

• Home Delivery: To qualify for this service the customer must be homebound according to the definition as set by Medicare or have an emergency. Those requesting a delivery should follow the same process as Curbside Pick-up when requesting an order. There will be six to seven deliveries made on Monday and Friday. If any of the households described above do not request deliveries, other deliveries will be considered based on need(s).
