Community based program provides assistance in applying for SNAP benefits over the phone. During a 30–35-minute appointment, applications are submitted to the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) on behalf of the applicant. If approved, a card is issued by the state of CT to pay for eligible food purchased online or at grocery stores.
