Provides food for Monroe residents experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity. Neighbors in need make an appointment to visit the food pantry. Individuals will need to provide name, address, contact phone number and number of people per household.. Eligibility will be re-determined each year. Pantry is open on By appointment: M: 2-5pm; W,Th: 9:30am-1pm; only one Thursday a month from 2-6pm and only one Saturday a month from 10:30am-1pm. Food Pantry is located at 980 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe. Individuals must call to schedule an appointment.

Food Pantry Operations:

  • Clients call 203-452-2817 to schedule an appointment; if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment call to let staff know.
  • Clients must call ahead for bread and produce.
  • Clients are asked to stay in their car to reduce the number of people in the building and prevent crowding.
    • Clients are asked to re-attest TEFAP information at each visit.
    • Monroe residents who qualify for a full pantry shop will be provided a form to select items.
