The Poor Relief Programme assists indigent and vulnerable individuals who are unable to meet their basic needs. The programme aims to improve the welfare of persons experiencing extreme poverty and hardship. (Available in all parishes through the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and Municipal Corporations across Jamaica.)

Application Process
Visit your nearest MLSS parish office or Municipal Corporation to complete an application and submit the required documents. A social worker or authorized officer will assess your circumstances before your application is reviewed for approval.
Document required:
Valid government-issued identification.
TRN.
Proof of address.
Medical documentation (if applicable).
Proof of income or evidence of financial hardship.
Any additional documents requested during the assessment.
