Department of Parks and Recreation organizes and runs sports programs, league activities, arts and crafts programs, a year round swimming program and various recreational activities throughout the year. Sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, and cheerleading are available at several age levels. The Shelton Community Center, has an indoor basketball court, an Olympic size swimming pool, two weight rooms, seven multipurpose rooms, and a banquet room with kitchen facilities.
