Provides on-site supervised, pre-independent living apartments for youth ages 16 through 23 in the care of DCF. Participants must maintain a part-time job, be in counseling, and stay in school in order to stay in the program. Case managers meet regularly with the residents to develop an individualized transitional program for each one. Program provides less supervision than a group home, but more supervision than a Community Housing Assistance Program (CHAP). Youth stay in the program for 12-18 months and then transition out to a CHAP Independent Living program, or into the community without DCF assistance.
